Floor Hockey 2010-01

Game On! is proud to offer "Hot Box" Floor Hockey.

Hot Box Floor Hockey is a fast-paced, non-contact, 3-on-3 (plus goalies) game of floor hockey.

The divisions are "Open", which means coed play is allowed but not mandatory.

You need at least 4 players. Rosters have a cap of 15 players.

WHERE: New Era Park (Blasdell Facility)
WHEN: Wednesday's
TIME: 7pm or later
TEAM FEE: $275 + $30 refundable forfeit fee

INCLUDED IN TEAM FEE:
*Rink, nets, timers, clocks
*6 week regular season
*Single-elimination playoff for top ranked teams
*Awards for championship team

NOT INCLUDED IN TEAM FEE:
*Weekly official fee of $8/team/game
*Player equipment (Sometimes the facility has loaner equipment available to players)

RANKINGS:
Teams are ranked by a point system. A team will receive 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 points for a loss.

In the event 2 or more teams are tied in points, the following tie-breaking criteria will be used to separate teams. If more than 2 teams are tied, the tie-breakers are applied to find a single leader amongst the tied teams. Once that leader is determined, the remaining tied teams will begin at the top of the tie-breaking criteria. This process will continue until all ties have been resolved.

Teams ranked in roughly the top 2/3 of their division will earn a spot in the Divisional Playoffs. *For 4, 5 or 6-team divisions: The top 4 teams will make the playoffs
*For 7 or 8-team divisions: The top 5 teams will make the playoffs
*For 9 or 10-team divisions: The top 6 teams will make the playoffs

LEAGUE PLAYOFFS
Divisional Playoff Champions (DPCs) will be invited to compete against other DPCs in a single-elimination League Playoff to determine the League Champion.

PLEASE NOTE: League Playoffs are considered additional (or bonus) games. They are offered to provide the DPCs a chance to see how the might fare against other DPCs. These games are not required. Because DPCs could come from divisions that play on different nights, league playoff games may be held on dates and at times which your team normally does not play.
